I'm with you on that! I seem to remember on the demo unit a switch or something had to be turned in order to discharge the voltage. The reason I remember that is I made a remark that it should be automatic. The demo guy from Cat gave me a dirty look which stuck in my mind as another example of Catattude.

Yeah there is a normal master outside the switch inside is a master also it actually doesnt matter if it was switched of or not the voltage still went away at the same rate i think the inside master was incase of a **** hit the fan moment operator could key off machine then hit inside master and bail out . im thinking electrical fire issues, we had automatic fire suppression on all equipment actually in the trash though, they were nice till they went off for no reason which happens more then they should in my opinion cuz i was usually working on it it seemed like and abc powder and breathing dont mix well lol

I've notice and the last couple of years Cat has been putting two master switches in all the dozers. One outside and one on the inside with a big red plastic knob. I have no idea why that is being done other than to add expense.
