I have a 2008 cat 247b with the c2.2 3024c / perkins 404d-22t engine in it. The engine spun a rod bearing and I have since rebuilt it. I finished the rebuild and started the engine up and as soon as the engine starts it goes wide open and will not idle down at all I’ve removed the throttle cable and moved the throttle lever by hand and it does nothing… I was thinking I had a spring or something in the governor set up wrong? But I’ve compared it to photos on the internet and I can’t find anything obviously wrong. I should add during the rebuild I found that rack on the injection pump was stuck so I put a new injection pump in it.
