The late cans are crimp seal clamped, I doubt the cans are much of a threat. Just leave the T-bolt inplace. If your really worried practice your welding fab skills and weld a cage around each one.
I have a scrap bin with about 40 of them in it right now, come on over a practice your welding skills.
