The worlds largest log cabin contained over a million BdFt. The structure was 206ft x 102ft x 72 ft tall. That is Simon standing next to one of the logs he donated. Special care was taken in the handling of there logs to keep the bark intact.
TreeFarmer, You made my day with those photos. My memory is of about a 10 year old kid. One of the best things my Dad did was take me there. I think the fire was less than a year later. I remember fire pictures in the Oregonian. This building was located accross the street from the old Montgomery Wards building up on a little rise.
