580ck Steering Problem

Any suggestions on how to repair case 580ck steering? The steering got stiff before oil started leaking out of the steering wheel base. Now steering wheel turns forever but wheels don’t turn. I think I broke the “shaft” in column. I am no mechanic. I think I have a few issues going on. Any suggestions on how I should proceed?

You are going to have to rebuild or replace the orbitrol valve. Rebuilding it is DEFINITELY NOT a job for a novice mechanic. Removing and replacing it can be aggravating, but is not too technical. This is a little newer tractor, and was just a seal replacement, but it gives you an idea. Ford and Case both used Ross.
