Hi

We are a manufacture of thumbs and recently we had a complaint that the 317 next gen has some new sensor on the side and the dog bone of the thumb won't fit. It should be wider now.
Anybody knows about this? And what part number progressive thumb it can fit on this 317 next gen excavator?

Thanks.

That is the Anisotropic Magneto-Resistance (AMR) sensor which measures the position of the bucket in relation to the stick. It’s used for Cat Grade. Would have to know serial number of machine to be sure what linkage gp it has to confirm thumb number.

The serial number is TZE00505, how to check the linkage GP? I would assume it's 315 316 318 linkage but it's wider than usual ones with the AMR.

The 525-4937 linkage Part Number is common to M317, M318, M319, & 317 excavators and that's it.
Thank you very much Nige. You are so knowledgeable in everything related to machinery!
