hey... I see your battery posts are oxidized a bit. I would totally recommend putting lithium grease all over them. I do it for every rig I've got. I don't bother with the die-electric crap, it's just annoying stuff that you can't get off your fingers and seems to get all over everything.

the idea behind the grease is to act as a barrier to oxygen and battery-expelled corrosive gasses. If you get a good coating on your freshly polished posts, you won't have oxidized posts anymore.

That's not oxidation, it's copper anti-seize.

Even after taking 4" worth of wedges out of the back edge, the base plate was still contacting the arm when fully curled in. So I had to take 1" out of the base plate.

On a job this week, I used all the attachments I have for this machine except for the ripper. It was a simple 150' power service trench from pole to garage, with the only obstacle being a section of concrete sidewalk in the way (or so I thought). The surprise ended up being an unmarked water line feeding the garage. I had no idea the garage even had water, and after I broke it (I was off so I assumed it was an old service that had been abandoned), the customer said he didn't mention it because he thought I'd only be going a couple feet deep and wouldn't interfere with it. Similar to your defense attorney, it's always best to tell the excavator operator about EVERYTHING underground even if you think it's not relevant! We got it fixed and he was happy so that's what counts. Cost me some extra time but a happy customer who may give me more work in the future is worth a few lost hours.

No pics with the new CMP bucket on, but it's working out well so far, even though I'm just using tilt and not rotate yet. Still waiting on a Rexroth dealer to tell me if I can add a section to the valve block, or if I need to use a diverter for the second auxiliary circuit.

dang, you do nice work. that pic with the bucket in the trench... it looks like you have an extra bend in that boom, like it's turning the dipper at the second knuckle. Does it do that, or is it 'just' a 3 part boom that only rotates at the bottom pivot?

Instead of a "swing boom" like most mini excavators have, it has "boom offset" which allows digging a straight line parallel to the machine. This picture shows the offset joint:
