    Merry Christmas all. I have a 580B w/ diesel & Twin Disc. I had a super soft reverse (fwd worked fine), did all the standard issue stuff - changed fluid, filter, drilled & tapped for pickup screen, flushed, etc. Pressures at A and C ports we within spec, the B port plug was sheared off flush...

    Hi all, Finally got around to getting this thing back together. The faces on both hubs of the shuttle were not even close to being flat/true, so into the lathe they went. Around .035" cut on the reverse hub, and .020" on the fwd hub. So, I'm now measuring/stacking the discs and the manual...

    580B Twin disc shuttle disassembly

    Based on what I see, I should be able to push the whole shebang off the end of the shaft, correct? I ask because I had it in the 20 ton press earlier and bent my press plates without anything moving. Also - whoever put that together had a steel plate against the piston ‍♂️.

    Backhoe gear oil mess

    Case 580B I use at home, so minimal use & lots of sitting in Pennsylvania. Oil was drained/replaced spring last year, nothing terrible then, just old and some moisture. Standard issue 80/90 gear oil. I’m in process of splitting and found this mess, seems to have separated & the yellow dropped...

    580b shuttle ID assistance

    Hi all, New to the machine I picked up a few weeks back and I’m ironing out it’s issues - main one being that reverse is very soft. Took off the cover to ID which shuttle I have but it’s not apparent to me, can anyone lend a hand? Rockwell or twin disc?
