Polycarbonate windows use different "adhesives" than glass to secure.

Since I've been down the rabbit hole hard the last week, I finally found the guy with the answers at Sika! I've been trying to figure out what product to use on the Lexan glass on the top of my Volvo EC140 E lc Excavator. The Sika products are great and there are lots that are used for factory...

    Dozer power chip

Well I own a 450J and they make a 550 and 650.... they are all the same tractor with more HP and a bit more weight being the diff. Obviously it chassis can handle what a 650 can handle I didn't really think adding a little more power to a 450 would be that big of a deal. A little more power...

    Dozer power chip

I'm not sure but I believe the 550 is the same motor just turned up a bit, possibly a diff. turbo? Didn't seam out of the realm of possibility. In the truck world some of the tune companies really know what they are doing and make great products, some are total crap and can screw up your truck..

    Dozer power chip

Anyone ever hop up there John Deere 450J? This looks promising, I figure it would be like turning my 450 into a 550 power wise, but what are others thoughts? Dumb idea, go for it? I don't want to create longevity issues but a little more swoop wouldn't be all bad. My dozer isn't used hard...

    Esco teeth afermarket vs. OEM

Thanks all for the info. I'm going to try building up the shank where the tooth clips in, if that doesn't hold up, cutting off and putting a new cutting edge with teeth looks like a viable option.

    Esco teeth afermarket vs. OEM

Mine are the twist and pin. v23, the actual shanks look warn, but I was using the off brand teeth. I wonder if I could build the shanks up a bit with metal and get a little more life out of them. Tab on oposit side of pin seams pretty worn. Cutting them off seams like a lot of work, but we...

    Esco teeth afermarket vs. OEM

My teeth aren't staying on very well and I think it's time to re shank my bucket on my EC140B. I'm wondering about Esco teeth and shanks. The Quality of afermarket vs. OEM Teeth are one thing but I don't want to weld on crap shanks. Are they all about the same quality wise? I'm finding...

Volvo ec140B temp. display not working, and auto throttle issues.

There arn't a lot of Volvo Excavators in my area. It's "Deere, Case, or sometimes Cat. That being said, I'm really impressed with my little Volvo. It's super smooth, quiet, and has good power. A friend of mine that's been been running Deere equipment for years said the same, man this machine...

Volvo ec140B temp. display not working, and auto throttle issues.

Thanks for the replies! It has the LCD display. I did go through the fuses and they looked ok, (I'll test them with a meter). I also have a factory service manual now. My machine sits over at a job a few miles away at the moment. I'll get over there and start investigating.

There was a little oily residue in the cone, but not much. I used Kroil penephite which I’ve had good luck with.

Volvo ec140B Starting issues in cold

Man it's cold, got the starter out, spring didn't look broken. soaked spring shaft etc. with spray graphite, worked it a bunch and reinstalled. fired right up with out a miss and it was about 20 degrees. Might need a rebuild in the future but for now I think its solved! Thanks for steering me...

Volvo ec140B Starting issues in cold

That makes good sense. The starter motor itself seams to work great, I’ll give shot rebuilding the drive. Did you find some place other then the dealer to get the parts reasonable? Thanks for the reply!

Volvo ec140B Starting issues in cold

My excavator started to develop a starter spin no crank intermittently this fall. maybe one time every 3-4 weeks. It's seamed to get worse as it gets cold. The weird thing is it will spin and miss, then the next try start up perfect, It has gotten worse with cold. It was really cold this...
