    CAT VS VOLVO wheeled excavators

Hello guys. I am now in the process of looking at a wheeled excavator and was wondering if you have any experience with them. I have been running both brand and like them both although have been leaning more towards cat. Volvo seams to be more high tech and futuristic. What would you pick and why?

Considering upgrading my VOLVO EC18E to a CAT 302CR. Whats your take on that?

what I like about the cat is the weight, power as it’s 400 kg heavier and has twice the lifting force. It’s 2.2 ton and the volvo above is to heavy for my car and trailer. The cat has stick steer, floating blade, cool features in the computer Service in Iceland on both machines is the same

Questions regarding upgrading from a VOLVO EC18E to

I see. I guess then the perfect machine would be a ECR25 with a detachable tiltrotator. I dont know if the ECR18/20 can handle the tiltrotator

Questions regarding upgrading from a VOLVO EC18E to

I see where you are going. Then I guess its just a matter of when I would upgrade the car and the trailer. I think the ECR25D would be perfect. I now mainly work around small houses I build and use it for mainly digging and for small fundaments. The EC20E could probably also just do the job.

Questions regarding upgrading from a VOLVO EC18E to

So you would stick to the 2 ton machines? Maybe its just better to make it work for the money and then just get a EC20E with some heavy stuff

Questions regarding upgrading from a VOLVO EC18E to

I cant rent one and the only thing stopping me is the fact I have to change the Van. The VW transporter is great allarounder and its a shame it cant tow more. Even the 4 motion 2.5tdi has the same towing capacity which is still not enough :(

Hello guys. I am quite new to the the forum and have been working lately with my excavator but think I would need a little bit stronger and longer arm. Wanting to buy a Skid steer. Any thoughts on the JCB tele skid?

Hey guys. I am considering getting a Skid steer and really like the JCB track skid with the arm on one side and the door on the other. Pretty safe. Also the teleskid is pretty neat.
