    Does your machine have a 6 -way blade? If so put a block of wood between the blade and front roller and push back on it. If the grease zert is open it should push back? No heat because there’s seals inside there!

    Just keep pumping the grease in and it will come apart. Then you can clean out the grease and push it back together after you open the fitting next to the grease zero. After the new track is on pump it back up to operating tention

    I thought Komatsu 21s used straight 10w oil in the hydraulics? Never herd of the 15w40 before?

    keep in mind they're supposed to come apart.The way Darin explained it is the way I did mine. And a little side note if its that hard to get apart,Then everything inside is probable trash. (Just a thought):)

    ffmloyd,The 10w oil we get from Tractor Supply,I have a list of proper oils to be used in this machine.But,not with me. If you go back through the threads I no for sure it's in there.(I no the list is long but very well worth it)

    ffmloyd,the empty space on the console is a fuse box.The dip stick closes to the engine is for the transmission (30wt.)The dip stick closes to the rear is ring and pinion gear oil(30wt.)Hope this helps and I use non-detergent oil.

    Crawlake, I had a similar problem,I thought it was the small hydraulic cyl. But it turned out to be the brakes were not put on correctly.You should be able to look in the adjustment hole and see if the linkage is hooked up correctly and through the hyd. cyl. hole.(Not saying it wasn't installed...

    Be sure your clutch adjustment fork is at 121mm to the center of bevel gear?And the transmission screen is clean?Is the brake adjustment right?Those brakes can be trickey to put back togather. Hope this helps its just a few thoughts.
