    Case 580 3 point hitch

I've got a '79 580C. Could anyone tell me if a 3pt subframe and hitch from other machines will fit mine? It might help me in my search for one of these. Thanks.

    Would this work?

Have a Case 580C with 4-in-1 bucket. I'd like to add quick couplings off the circuit that opens the clam shell part of the bucket. I'm considering mounting a snow plow on the bucket and would like to control the plow angle by the left/right bucket control. Has anyone done something similar...

    580 C steering issues

My steering has been slow to react since I bought it. It's very unresponsive, seems like it's about 4 revolutions to get the wheels to turn. I recently had a strange problem with it. I had a rock slung up from the loader, it was probably 1500#. The loader had no problems lifting it but when...

The title says it all. Condition not that important as long as the holes line up.

    580C need a quick measurement

The dipstick on my shuttle is missing. The plug part is there but the dipstick itself is broken off. I'm gonna fab one myself but need the length of the stick only. In other words, from the rubber plug to the end of the stick and the dimensions of the full mark. Can someone get those...

    Chains on a 580C

I'm looking to run chains this winter but my machine appears to have serious clearance issues. According to the owner's manual this model came with either 14.9 or 16.9x24 rear tires. Mine's got the 16.9 and looking between the inside of the tire and the frame there is about one inch between...

    580C steering problem

I did a little searching on the forum but can't find a solution to my problem. I worked the backhoe all weekend digging my leach field. The steering on the machine is slow to react. It also seems I've got to turn the wheel two or three turns to get the wheels to turn. Beside that the thing...

    Tool info needed for 580C

I'm looking at repacking a few of the cylinders on our machine. I've got the gland removal tool but don't have any 3/4" tools. I was gonna pick up a 3/4" breaker bar. Does anyone know the size/s of sockets I need? I'd rather just buy individual quality tools I need instead of buying a...

    anyone run chains year 'round?

Got some marginal rear tires on our 580C. They hold air but are fairly dry rotted. Trying to get another year out of them. The machine will never see pavement and will be used for plowing in the winter and work around our 30 acres the rest of the time. I figured chains might help since...

WTB Case 580C 3 point hitch

The tph would be a great addition to my machine. Anyone looking to get rid of the sub-assembly, maybe off a junk/wrecked tractor? Thanks

rear control valve rebuild case 580C

Does anyone know if the rear control valve can be rebuilt while it's still on the machine? Our machine is leaking out around the spools on the boom swing valve. Hoping it just needs new seals and o rings. BTW I have a manual on the way.

WTB complete parking brake assembly Case 580C

For some reason during its life someone stripped my machine of its parking brake. There's nothing left but a hole in the floor. Anyone have one or a parts machine with one? Thanks

    New to me 580C

A little introduction to you guys as I'm sure I'll be hanging around here often. A good friend and I own two pieces of land adjacent to each other in Western Maine and just bought a Case 580 C together. It's a pretty clean machine for it's age. Lots of spare parts included too. It's got...
