    Case 1150 Torque Converter Pressure

So the laser tachometer came in today. Tested the dozer with the machine warmed up in high gear with bucket stuck in the ground and got 1850 RPM with no hunting, 285-290 PSI on torque converter. At this time I could not get the engine to hunt. Started using the machine to level off freshly...

    Case 1150 Torque Converter Pressure

The suction strainer is freshly cleaned and the high pressure filter is new. If there are any others I am not aware of them. Funny thing is the engine will get to higher RPM when it is cooler, maybe the first 1-2 minutes, when warm it hunts at or near governed speed. The laser tachometer should...

    Case 1150 Torque Converter Pressure

I have case crawler loader 1150 SN 7301728 With new pressure gauge installed, the maximum I can see is 285 PSI when cool but normally will operate 265-275 PSI and jumps around that area while pushing steady. Before making some rookie mistake, would it possibly be improved with a relief...

    Case 1150 Shifting Sticky

Put two rings with broken tabs on LH side and worked the machine for about an hour today - so far no more issues shifting with the right or left sides... a bit confused but happy that its working normal. Thank you both for the very useful experience!

    Case 1150 Shifting Sticky

The rear ring on both sides had broken tabs. Guess I'm looking for parts..

    Case 1150 Shifting Sticky

Seems with a closer look that when the right side track is locked up it also does not allow the left side track to make any function until you put the right side fwd/rev lever back into neutral. Seems like the pressure is getting to the brake side of the valve...? (brake pedals removed since a...

    Case 1150 Shifting Sticky

So there are rings on the valve spool? I'm starting to think... once in a while the lever will need a little bit of a sharp blow to make it move - as if there is a ring stuck in a groove or broken ring or very sticky detent then for no reason it goes away and shifting the lever is very smooth...

    Case 1150 Shifting Sticky

Does anyone know the reason for intermittent lock of the right hand side track? When shifting normally from forward to reverse or reverse to forward, the right track will lock up as if the oil pressure is feeding both forward and reverse clutches? If you wait for 2-3 seconds it will...

    Idler guards...

I see my old machine used to have guards on the bottom idler rollers. Now I have new idlers, how important is it to have the guards installed?

    Case 1150 Track Loader

Hi guys! I just got my leaking (on the drive shaft seal) torque converter out and opened up. Need to replace all lip seals on the torque converter housing and replace the bearings. The input bearing was starting to get just a little bit sloppy so I may as well do them all. The question...

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

Hi guys, back again. Trying to remove the drive shaft today but it does not slide on the spline. Unless I am missing something or else it is seized up and maybe needs heat? I hope it is possible to get the drive shaft out and be able to replace that forward end seal that blew out.

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

All I did was move the machine a few feet. It seems like there was back pressure to blow the seal when it was very cold, if that is possible. So I will just replace it first along with new oil and try again when the weather is above freezing. Trying to locate part numbers is difficult so I will...

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

good eye! would it have been installed like that for any reason or would it be in my better interest to change it around?

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

Well the pictures worked this time. Sheep, as you can see lift cylinders have rod end down. So my update today... Got the belly pan off and cleaned it out. I see the forward end drive shaft seal is leaking all the oil. So, to replace that may not be too bad of a job but would you have any idea...

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

7301728 is the other SN on the machine, to the left side of the seat, front of the battery box. Having trouble to attach due to the size of the pics. Will try again later!! Thank you

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

Hello, many thanks for the advice. So here is the update... I pulled out the strainer that is just under the floor cover on the left side. It had almost half an inch of ice laying in the bottom of it plus a fair amount of small metal particles. Cleaned it up, tried the machine, no luck. Figured...

Case 1150 Track Loader (will not move)

Hi everybody! Are there any CASE mechanics out there? I have an 1150 track loader that will not move. Parked it there a few months ago now I do not see any pressure or any kind of attempt for movement forward or reverse. Hydraulics work fine, oil levels are fine. Could it be cold weather...
