    Radiator leak

JB weld seems to have worked. Ran it for a good half hr with no leaks. I'm lucky on the location of the leak, i was able to coat the entire area. I let it cure for a 24 hrs before i tested it.

    Radiator leak

It is the oil cooler and it is 100% leaking from that seam at the start of the point of curvature in that photo. The only oil in the system i know of that is red is the reverser oil, or possible the transaxle oil. Any fixes in place? i tried a few things, epoxy puddy, stretch wrap...

    Radiator leak

Yes, sorry john deere 410D 1996. I believe this is cooling the reverser fluid. It is part of the radiator though, in front.

    Radiator leak

Any suggestions on this radiator leak fix? It appears to be a very small hole at the very bottom of the radiator copper coil. I have access to it without taking the whole thing out. Any common way to patch this that has worked? It appears be be on the point of curvature on one of these...

It was mild at first, but has gotten much worse. there are two filters next to each other, basically in the center of the tractor, access is underneath. the problem filter is labeled number 551616 which the internet is telling me...

1997 Case 580 LE reverse wont work

Is part labeled #2 on the diagram posted by ALRMAN above functioning properly? That has an internal plunger inside that is activated by your solenoids.

1997 Case 580 LE reverse wont work

I'm going to hop in here and offer a suggestion. I had a similar problem with a John deere backhoe and it part of the issue was a bent solenoid. The piston or spring that the solenoid coil wraps around was getting caught up inside the mechanism. If your key has a test mode (battery power is...

    Parking for Winter

I got the machine set up in travel mode as suggested. No tarps, no chemicals, just parked so water does not sit on the machine. I'm in NY Hudson Valley. So far winter has been mild. I start it when it is warm outside on the weekends. My battery has a disconnect switch so that is handy...

    Parking for Winter

I'm wondering how people park their backhoe for the winter time. I don't have a indoor area for my machine. This is the first year I've owned it and I was told to try and park the unit with most of the hydraulic cylinders sheathed. Do people utilize blankets to cover up sensitive parts...

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

AT148524 Also has a 9620 on the other side. I've already scoured the internet for a substitute, and John Deere wants $331.00. I bent the stem back a bit, best i could to make it straight. I gave the solenoid some juice and the plunger is definitely making noise going both up and down. Problem...

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

I ordered a 6 point socket as suggested and it worked great . Before hand i cleaned up the area the best i could with a wire brush and some cleaner and it made a nice fit on the bolt with no grinding needed. I had ordered a Hydraforce solenoid valve before hand by just taking a guess from...

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

only thing i really have with power is a battery operated impact wrench. how bad of an idea is that to loosen a big bolt? haha

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

Ok, so i tried the FNR unplugging and this had no effect. I put the machine in forward and then back into neutral, then unplugged the FNR lever from the machine. It remained in forward while in neutral. My next test was what Finca sdr suggested and to "tap" the top of the solenoid valve for...

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

I cut open that harness a little bit, so i could access those wires more. I was very delicate to open that harness. I repaired the two copper exposed areas the best i could with electrical tape, the copper itself did not appear to be bad/broken. i peeled away some of the old green wire...

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

I repaired some frayed wiring and switched the forward solenoid coil with a different one. The copper still seemed intact so i wrapped it well in electrical tape. This appears to have stopped the fuse blowing. Ohm test on the FNR plug had no issues. Now, the machine moves again forward but...

I will try the Ohm testing as well. thankyou

John Deere 410D Backhoe Loader will not drive: forward or reverse

So further testing with the fuse revealed that the fuse is blowing when I put the FNR switch into Forward. Reverse does not blow the fuse nor putting it back into neutral. Reverse even sounds the backup alarm when tested. I had ordered a second solenoid coil and had replaced this forward...
