    JD 410C fuel trouble

Yes it will restart and rev up like there is nothing wrong. The motor then slows down and slowly dies. It dies in various times. It isn't consistant except it won't rev over 1000 rpm. I just bought this backhoe last month and haven't run it very much. Maybe 30 mins. But when I got it...

    JD 410C fuel trouble

Yes I changed the fuel filter. There is lots of fuel to the filter and the lift pump seems to work good. So it is after that. The air filter is good and the motor doesn't smoke very much.

    JD 410C fuel trouble

Hi, My 410C runs like crap. It starts right up but won't run past 1000 rpm. After a min or so it runs even slower. Then it dies. Someone told me that bacteria in the fuel will cause the motor to run like that. He said to clean the fuel injector returns. Anybody hear of such a thing...

Hey Harry, I finally went to the site where my backhoe is. My tag has 410CF and a serial # on it. There is no tag by the key.

This might not be helpful, but on my 89 JD 410 the tag is on the loader frame just above the left front wheel.

    JD 410C drive shaft problem

I replaced the O-ring and the new one was a little tighter. So then I checked the oil and found that someone had WAY over filled the box. Guess I should have checked that first huh. I haven't run it yet cause I am getting a leaky cyl fixed. So no wonder it was leaking when I got the mach...

    JD 410C drive shaft problem

I don't get it either. The front joint is held on with a retainer and two bolts. There is the o-ring between the the retainer and the yoke. That retainer keeps the joint from coming off. Maybe the yoke shouldn't wobble but I can't figure out why JD would design the joint like that. I would...

    JD 410C drive shaft problem

Here is what I have found so far. The rear yoke is splined and slides back when you unbolt the front joint. I think the front joint is made to wobble on the spline for motor movement. There is an o-ring in the front joint. The o-ring on my machine is too small in thickness causing the...

    JD 410C drive shaft problem

Hi, I just bought a 410C. It has a bad oil leak which the seller was less than honest about. It has a leak out of the rear seal on the torque converter. The u-joint is flopping around and the seal must be blown. My question is can the short driveshaft be removed with out taking the...

    Newbie needs advice on hoe

Hi I want to buy a 4x4 hoe for homesite work. I looked at a 1990 Ford 555 B? maybe. It has 4500 hrs and some worn pins. It also has a problem with the lever that puts the mach in forward. Maybe an adjustment? Has some rust. I also looked at a 1986 Case 580E. It has 6500hrs and a...

Does anyone care about fuel efficiency?

I also care about fuel efficiency. I have 2 VW TDI's cause they get 45 mpg min and go like stink. I also have a Dodge Cummins. I have owned diesel cars since the late 80's for their fuel mileage. Dean
