Back to the salsa. I also need to figure out the ratio if I change it from pork to Llama or whatever.

My poor head. I think it is full.....

I can't add too much help here but that never stopped some of us from posting!

I have been doing some research to see if there is an exchange ratio between Llama, Alpaca and pork but so far the internate has not been of any help!

On a slightly OT subject, hope that is OK! Just got the annual Christmas Letter from one of my Auntes and Uncles up in Minnesota. This uncle and I share first and last names and are just five years apart in age. Grand-dad and Grand-Ma didn't have too many hobbies, but that another story! One note in this letter mentioned my Auntie and Uncle were blessed with a Great Grand Daughter this last year. Now that in of itself might not be that big a deal but this kid brings the total of Great-Grand kids to 23!

Best I can claim is one five year old grandson and that one is the son of my stepdaughter so I don't even have any DNA in the mix!

If you had a hand in raising her, it counts. Weren't any DNA between my grandfather and I but he is/was my grandfather and I have his folded flag proudly displayed just as he took pride in my accomplishments. Don't let silly sh!t like blood get in the way.
Well can't take much credit for the raising as she was almost 20 years old when I met her and her mom for the first time! And within a few weeks she was moved out of her moms home and into her own apartment.

Not to get too serious on this odd thread but one of the things I regret is the lack of really knowing grandfathers on either side. Mom's dad passed before she even met my dad and dad's father I only met I think twice, once when I was maybe 7 or 8 and again when I was 11 and spent a few weeks one summer visiting many of dad's family up in Minnesota.

So true.
While I do have a mitt full of aunts and uncles, most of them were too far away to see on any kind of a regular basis.
I have 2 uncles that are not uncles, just really good friends of the family.
And when I was a child, there was a childless couple lived down the road.
Cliff flew Lancaster's during the war and brought his wife June home with him. June's mother came with them.
Mrs. S we called her, June's mother, was the sweetest little English granny any child could ask for. And since June and Cliff didn't have children they pretty much adopted me.

I always kept in touch right up till the last one passed. Still miss them. Such great people.

Welder Dave.
Thank you for pointing that out.
I live on the west coast and we in the west tend to forget about the Quebec metric.

Now I have to work that into my calculations too.

Groan:(

That's the reason the federal gov't. had to pump so many millions into Bombardier. Some bean counter forget to convert to Quebec metric so all the tooling was off and the assemblers tools wouldn't work. Keep the popcorn ready for when Airbus founds out their new purchase has some issues. Some metric heads are going to roll.

Well guys and gals.

This has been fun. I got to be more then a little silly.

Sorry Vetech63, I tried my best but could not get it up to the required 60 pages.
I thought that 11 was pretty decent considering there really wasn't any content:)

My oldest son is coming home for Christmas.
He has had a rough go of it.
Drugs, alcohol.
He was badly burned during a drug induced psychotic episode. He got into an electrical switch yard and was electrocuted. Lit his clothes on fire. I'm not sure how many times he just about died, 3 that I know of.

I had to throw him out of my life for several years. He was living on the streets for some time.

But he has quit the bad stuff and has been clean for over a year now.
Has a decent job, is paying his child support and such.

I intend to spend some quality time with him and his new girl friend.
So not planning on being around on here much.
Might do a quick check in now and then.

So pretty much see ya after Christmas.

I'm telling ya, this one is cleaned up
The youngest is having a baby.
I don't need any presents this year, I already have all I need.:)

Kum & Go? Hmm....never before have I seen this. I wonder if they are like the “Pak-n-Pok” in MS.

I have no idea what a pak n pok is, but a kum n go is a gas station with hot dogs and burrito's on those little metal rollers, that you never eat, no matter how hungry you are.

..does anyone else smell that?

Word to the wise- being in mississippi, you don't get to wear insulated coveralls much, but try not to fart in them, its worse than it seems at first.

So is your significant other dumb enough to believe that? Or does she just know your the bright one that keeps suggesting that it's the dog? Because I don't want to burst your bubble, but it ain't both. :)

Our dog smells all the time, so no one buys that story in our shop. We try to keep the dog out of the shop....
