White bought Diamond T and shut it down then restarted it as Diamond REO in 66 then shut that
down in mid 70's. White butchered more companies than you can shake a stick at.

My very first employer had a home built 56 Diamond T wrecker, was my job to drive on weekends and after hours as low man. Single axle 4x3 black diamond gas engine, still had fifth wheel beneath the gin poles.
Wish I knew where it got to as was in great shape when left that company in 77.

Some Trivia.
The modern Bulldog as we know it today started out several centuries back a very different beast.
Some really bad ideas involving inbreeding created what we have today and used by Mack Truck
as mascot really is a mess. The English Bulldog has to labor to breath and uses a lot of energy to
do so plus it's not uncommon for them to be born with a cleft pallet. Because of the dogs odd leg/
torso the dog doesn't float or swim very well and has a propensity to drown. What we know as a
rough and tough dog in cartoons--in reality is rather sad. Mack Truck used it as a mascot but I
doubt they really knew about the modern Bulldog. Below is a painting of a original Bulldog.

I dont understand why people want to change things around most of the time its not for the good but they cant see that they just see that they made a change.
