Been a weird few weeks, back injury, Flu bug, just miserable in general then a highlight.
Sheep farming neighbor texts me, wants to rent barn in valley. Explained would be hard as is 2/3 full already with my machinery. Asked if I could move machinery out so could store hay bales in it. Said no, each time.
Just out of curiosity called insurer, said under no circumstance rent the structure. Can store my own bales, can store my own goods or feeds, if rent it out becomes commercial use and insurance as is will not cover if hay catches fire. Commercial policy is four times what we pay for farm overall and would be just for barn.
So a Hard NO, ever.

As a edit, found the why he asked to rent, cannot find a barn builder that has time to construct him a hay shed, as well does not like the pricing levels currently for concrete or lumber or tins.
Two other neighbors have also declined as already have their hay in sheds.

Why would he build a barn when you have a perfectly good barn? You can just move your machinery out, and when he's got the hay used up, you can move your stuff in, back out of the weather next spring. I don't see a problem? That's what neighbors are for.

I don't mind helping someone out in a jamb, but its not like he didn't know he needed a barn for his hay. Tell him they sell big tarps on the internet and he can just cover the hay.

He also is rather keen of asking if ready to sell the farm, told him not going down that path anytime soon. He noted Market is dropping where prices will not be as good, explained does not matter as we stay put. He was not ready for that response. He stretched himself pretty thin buying the old farm and expecting adjoining places to just sell to him, did not work out too well where he is land locked to his limited herd size. Pay your money take your chances. He currently has four barns, converted one to a Lambing shed, another is too far from the house and small but could be expanded, a larger one he uses as a Equipment she and the last is just a little past saving.

Or buy/rent a bale wrapper if they're large bales.
For small squares, I've seen local homesteaders put up those portable canvas covered 10x20 carports to store their hay. I used my 8x8 chicken coop one year when I had cows but wasn't keeping chickens over the winter.

This neighbor needs to get more creative.

Managed to get a load of resin on the low spots, Hood, Sleeper roof, got the Right seat where I wanted to go with it, not a great deal of room between the two but not a roomy cab either. Said enough for the day as heat is not so bad Humidity went WAY Up so was miserable even indoors.

Tomorrow sand down the resin spots, smooth off for surface filler spots, maybe DA the sleeper roof for priming with the patched spots. Soon enough going to need to wash the entire machine, maybe by Friday will have that done and backed back in the shop to start full DA and hand sand prep.

So today did some cleanup on the marker areas, silicone is off, finished up some resin and glass add to the LF fender edge then as cured up started the surface filler adds. Sleeper roof repairs, deep scratches on doors, hood repairs. MANOh MAN, I had forgotten how fast that stuff solidifies, KNEW had to mix SMALL quantities but holy crap that stuff if quick!!

Bath day Tomorrow, then back into shop for DA time.

Last night after sent the pics, received notice delivery from Fedex made. Never saw truck, no driver contact and been home all afternoon, so took walk out past shop. A--hole had shoved these out of the truck (As Found) at our garden shed and hauled for home. Steer tires be here tomorrow to put on them, at least no damage as unboxed.
