    Thanks, I will try that. I also notice a signal about only 10v when I turned the key off. Like to know where that message is coming from. I have a repair manual and will attempt to troubleshoot from it.

    I hear no bearing noise altho the turntabe seems a bit "loose" w/o the swing brake on. No work on the swing motor. I have noticed significant looseness in the joystick and yesterday it worked ok. I suspect crossed hydraulic signals from the joystick. thanks

    everything else functions, but when the joystick is moved right, the engine dies. After restarting, moving the control ever so slowly to the right allows movement without engine suddenly quitting.

    Today I started up this machine and it functioned as advertised. I let it run for about 45 min and still worked good. Let it set for 2 hours and still works good. Tomorrow we take it to a job and see what happens. thanks to you all.
