Are they going to put that back to work or is it for display and shows? I'm guessing it is going back to work, would be a shame to do all that work and let it sit.

Is their dad still around and going to get to run this beautiful looking machine?

Hatchequip, that is a great looking Crane with some fair amount of work stuffed into it, so well done that Man, when I was about 19 I had to help 2 old stagers rebuild an R.B.38 Crane rigged for Drag-line, the 2 old boys one was the driver the other was a Crane Mechanic and only worked on crawler cranes, I sharp worked out that Cranes to me were just about the nastiest bits of Iron to be found, everything is ether in an oil bath or smothered in thick black grease, with evey part somehow hooked into something else that was a total pig to set free, so again Well Done on a good job that I would rather not go near, I am still suffering flash backs to the R.B.38, I hope the owners are pleased with the "new unit"

T C thanks alot about 8 years ago we had a Rustin Bucyrus 38B that we went thru and we had some of the old history on it. It came across the pond and after several years the company that had bought it sent it back across the pond for the rustin people to rebuild then shipped it back over here where we ended up with it several years later then we went thru it and sold it to an outfit that unloads salt from barges so id say that will be its final resting place.
wish Id have have known about you back then as I was tring to get ahold of some of the rustin bunch for some serial # answers but finally got ahold of some people over there to find out its no more
