Hey Nige the oil looked OK. Not sure on the level ground. I will check again this AM.CAT0249DJGWR01482
The reason I asked about the ground being level is the following comment from the O&M Manual - "If the machine is operated on severe slopes, the oil level in the engine crankcase must be at the "FULL" mark on the dipstick." So if you pulled the dipstick on less than level ground you could have seen a false oil level reading.the oil looked OK. Not sure on the level ground. I will check again this AM.

Hasn't been operated on big slopes. Also see attached. The first possibility it mentions as a cause is low oil level.
Got the pdf on what to check. Oil is not Aerated so guess I will do an oil and filter change first and go from there.Hasn't been operated on big slopes. Machine is on level ground and the oil is full
Take a close look at the oil when you drain it. Does it look "thin" and/or smell of fuel.?Got the pdf on what to check. Oil is not Aerated so guess I will do an oil and filter change first and go from there.
