I went and looked at that engine today ( 300 miles on my truck I will not get back) but I left the engine there as it was going to Be to much of a nightmare to get everything hooked correctly.

I was working on the tilt cylinder yesterday. These are the old parts, I didn’t get a fresh picture. The seal in the middle is too wide to go in there, one side wants to stay raised. I since measured the groove width at .246”, and the seal width at .271”. That’s 25 thousandths interference. Doh! I should have checked the parts people’s work. I can check the local place I usually go to tomorrow. In the beginning they said they stock it, but were out of stock. I can see if they restocked, and take my calipers with me. I need to go there anyways to get o rings for the hose fittings.

What are you compressing it with? These will require Squeezing to get them into the barrel. I used Aluminum Flashing pieces and hose clamps.

There are actualy Stuffer tapered tools to install these and the Chamfer at the end of the barrel I have not ever had luck getting Gland Seals past.
