Here is mine. It came with some land I bought in Montana. I think it is a TD6 but not 100% sure. I don't know if it runs or not but I will find out next summer when I get up there.

I believe its a 1956 TD-6. My boss bought it, ran it for about 10Hrs before the a steering clutch went out. Replaced both ran it another 10hrs, and the motor went south. Had a neighbor rebuild it best as we could, but couldn't find a good head for it. He had as many of the cracks as he could welded up. It ran alright, but needed the fuel tank pulled off and cleaned or replaced. It would plug up the fuel filter in no time. I just got tired of working on it constantly, and its been parked in a barn for the last 5 or 6yrs. It needed some serious TLC, and someone with more patience than me.

Here's my 650j, in my opinion they are by far the best in there class.

I have to agree with you. As much as I wanted all the D5's and D6's to be the better dozer because I am a Cat guy, they just wouldn't perform as well as the JD 650's. I spent years running finish dozers and the 650 was my favorite. I have heard others choose the JD 650. I know a high track D5 or D6 sure doesn't like turning when the blade is full like cutting in a cul-de-sac. The JD would definitely do better there.
