Norbert77 did you end up finding the problem? I am working on a 54 hough h50 and it seems to be having transmission problems too. It seems I need to rev the engine to get the thing to move in either direction and the high range seems to not exist however the intermediate gear and low gear will move the machine when revved. I changed the fluid and filter and cleaned the strainer but that didn`t make much of a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Here is a pic of the machine i`m working on
