Takeuchi TB135 start problems - Air Heater

I have a TB125, not sure if our motors are similar. Mine only has an air heater, no glow plugs. Additionally, mine is one of the strangest (in a good way) diesels i have ever seen. I can turn the key down to even 30 deg when the motor is stone cold and it fires up literally like a gas motor...

    Kubota KX41/3

Kubota's are usually pretty darn reliable if maintained properly. The D902 is in the BX line of tractor motors so there are a ton of them out there, however I don't doubt that the excavator specific model costs more and is more rare. Looking online I see D902-E3 listed as the motor... Are you...

compact tractor use vs skid steers

Looks like people's responses above vary based on what they own, or what their opinion is, and of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's for sure! Here's some things to think of regardless of opinions, gathering together what was mentioned above and other facts: -Skid Steers (SS)...

    Mini-Excavator rubber track question

I have recently replaced the drive motor on a 301.8 which is similar to your 302.7 machine and I would strongly suggest doing the tracks yourself if you want to save a few bucks. Lift machine up with the boom and blade so the tracks are off the ground. Remove the grease fitting from the...

    Pics of your mini!

Used my TB125 to place a bunch of boulders along a seawall near the ocean. This tidal river eroded the bank after the last hurricane and needed to be rebuilt. Fun work.

    Ripper For My Mini

Purnong has the setup I'm looking to build, I just saved that picture so I can make one later! I found shanks on ebay new pretty reasonable. I like the idea of being able to replace it if it breaks/bends. I suspect my machine won't be able to bend one but you never know. Now I just need...

    Ripper For My Mini

I like it! I was planning on making one for my TB125 and I like your setup. I have a Wain-Roy quick attach I'll need to attach to the ripper, but should be something I can fabricate....

    Pics of your mini!

The EH-27B looks very similar in specs to my Takeuchi TB125. I love my machine. So far I haven't found something it won't do, it just takes longer than a larger machine. Since I can tow it with my 2500HD, I like the size. I'd need to upgrade to a 5th wheel to tow much larger than a 10k...

    tb125 questions - what's normal?

Glad you found and fixed the issue and it wasn't something expensive! I have replaced my prefilter (screen) as well as my main filter since purchasing my used machine and I plan on changing it often going forward. Filters are cheap compared to injection pumps and new motors! FYI, my 2002 TB125...

    tb125 questions - what's normal?

I would look for cavitating pump, clogged filter, clogged hyd cooler, etc. I do know the Hyd drive motors put a heck of a strain on the machine and likely will introduce a ton of heat into the system if you're crawling up steep hills. Lastly, are you running near max rpm? Interestingly...

Best Place to Buy Hydraulic Hoses?

X2 on the comment above about tractor farm stores like tractor supply. The hoses are nice parker or goodyear 3500psi hoses and the price is less than half of Napa. Sure they're not custom cut to fit, but if you have room to be a little too long in places, you can save some serious coin. I...

    Best Mini Excavator

Dig Deep nailed it. The question is very open ended. Once you know size, application, etc then you can make a more educated decision. #2 is a HUGE deal. Can you get parts for it? How quickly? Will they carry parts for at least X amount of years? I have found Takeuchi, Kubota and Cat to be...

    dig out stumps?

ElCheapo, I believe mine is around a 2000-2001 because the yanmar motor says 2000 on it. The seller said it was a 2002 but I think that might be off. I love my machine so far. I haven't had much time to use it around my house, maybe 10-15 hours so far, but I've gotten a ton done with it...

    Takeuchi TB125 bucket search help

Looks like a nice fun project! I love my TB125 so far but I agree a longer reach would be nice...but its great for what it is. I've been using mine for logging and doing some stump removal so far. Its been working well, I love my thumb for sure!

    Takeuchi TB125 bucket search help

Elcheapo is correct, also I ended up attaching a ratchet strap to the boom and rops and once I released the internal latch I just lowered the boom and it lifted the cab forward. My lift shocks are worn and in cold weather its hard to flip the cab forward.

    Excavator mounted Wood Splitter

BMCKENZIE, the splitter works great, I think the coupler is welded at a good location because I can curl the bucket all the way back and it will flip the splitter "right side up" for normal splitting, or I can use it inverted to grab and split larger logs. The Aux circuit on the TB125 is...

    Excavator mounted Wood Splitter

Hi Ronsii, my excavator has a 15.4 gpm flow which is similar to the high volume side of most log splitters so cycle time is great. The whole splitter was already premade setup, I think its an american splitter, and I think its a 5" cylinder but I can measure and confirm. The big log I have no...

    tb125 questions - what's normal?

My TB125 seems to be similar turning and in high mode. It has no power turning in high so I aim straight, kick to high, and then kick it to low before turning. Depending on the traction and surface I can turn easily or not well, but it seems to be the nature of the machine so I don't worry...
