    Pin Removal Help

Thanks for the feedback guys. I could get a welder up there to do the nut trick. I will try and pull the guts first. Its been leaking fluid for years so hopefully the end will come off without too bad of a wrestling match.

    Pin Removal Help

only problem with that is the excavator is 5 hours north of me on my land and I have very little resources up there. I am not sure what size seals this thing has. Its an older Kobelco SK024 and online info is very thin. Wanted to pull it and take it home so I can bring it into a local parts guy...

    Pin Removal Help

Trying to remove a cylinder to put in new seals and I cannot get the rear pin out. Any tips on removal? Tried hitting the end with a 12 lb sledge against a socket on the through bolt end. didn't budge it at all. Attached a few photos.

    locating replacement pins/bushings

Hi All, I have a early 90s Kobelco SK024 mini-ex up at my cabin that I am building. Machine works great but the pins and bushings are in need of being replaced. Are these more of a generic sizing or are they custom to each machine? This machine has an extendable stick with 16" bucket although...

    Kobelco SK 024/Thumb ?

Decided to go with a rigid thumb. Broke out the plasma cutter and welded one up. They had on it at one point. The tabs are bent in from boulders but I am going to straighten those out this week so I can attach it with hitch pins. Just needs a couple of holes drilled. Here is the finished...

    good angle for rock separator

So I am looking at building a rock separator for getting some decent fill. Some of the details: Land I will be digging is primarily sandy loam with glacial boulders (fist sized to 12" angular boulders most likely, the larger stuff I can sort out with the bucket). Southern Boundary Waters area in...

Type of oil for final drive

I just purchased my first mini ex. Just about to change all the fluids and filters before I bring it up to the island for cabin construction. I have everything figured out for the filters and fluids except for the final drive. My machine is an early 90s Kobelco SK024. Do finals take a standard...

    serial number location?

I bought a Kobelco Sk024 with a yanmar engine. Does anyone know where the serial/ID number is on this unit? I found some assorted tags in the machine which I have attached pics of. Not sure if this is one of them. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Kobelco SK 024/Thumb ?

Appreciate the feedback guys. Definetly things to think about. I can probably get away without having a thumb but it would be nice. The next closest machine (TB016) I can find is $4,500 more than this one and has more hours. It is newer but this one is an original owner machine and is well kept...

    Kobelco SK 024/Thumb ?

New guy here. I got a line on a Kobelco SK024 machine (early 90's I think). I am looking for an excavator to use on our land up on Lake Vermillion for clearing and foundation work for a cabin. This is a steal of a deal but I have one unknown. The unit has a stab arm on it and I need to make sure...
