These pictures were taken a number of years ago . I was hopping to see Dave Thompson (I seen him in one of the picture's) at a gathering of former BCFP employee's last Sunday . But he wasn't there , so I'll have to wait until the next time I run into him , to find out . The picture of the old truck carrying the Air Track , I'm wondering if that could be an old Mack . Maybe HDX will know for sure .

Two posts of trucks hauling the trac drills around The first (post 2364) is a Kenworth that has been somewhat re-worked Has modified HD Hayes fenders and some other features not common to that truck Pretty straight truck never the less. The second truck (post 2383) is an HD Hayes. This truck was similar to the one the guys re-built at Caycuse shop. They did one very similar to this one. Got to check my pictures. I have pictures of another one I took pictures of too many years ago, Was still Timber West. Will look for it.

Have been studying pictures with great interest and still no closer to figuring out one truck, The HDX painted in the BCFP tri color's here. I thought at first it was 6-248 after it was re-built till I saw another picture of TWO HDX's. Post 2347 shows the 248 pulling the lowbed with a tower on her and P16 # 502 pushing There is the mystery HDX as a pull truck. Al is there any way that this is in fact 6-247??? Did she get transferred from Nekite to Narrows do you know. It has the hydraulic tank on the left hand side of the water tank just like the 6-248. It was the water tank guard added to the top on both sides of the saddle that threw me. Any ideas?

While we are investigating here ---there is a picture (post 2357) first picture. That is a WHD pulling that low bed but the water tank has been removed so I am thinking it has been reduced to GRADE MACHINES type lowbed. NO WATER What do you think ex Cattermole truck ??? Did you ever cross paths with her?

Thanks for keeping the dialogue and picture source correct . Some where's along the line I heard the WHD #221 left Nekite and went to Wakeman Sound to be used as a Lowbed , That could be the same truck in picture . I think your correct on the #6-247 , here are my best picture's of the #6-247 at Nekite Summer 1979 .Scan502.jpg Scan503.jpg Scan504.jpg

Yes Al That would be the 247, And the WHD picture would be like you say ,probably the 221. Wonder whatever became of her. We know 247 showed up on the forum all sanitized and hooked to a low bed for sale some time back. Some fell between the cracks when T/W changed all the numbers. Would be interesting to find out where 248 ended up. P16 unit # 502 was a Pacific. Not a semi rebuild job so maybe she was an inherited truck from somewhere else.
