Looks to me like the same truck.I also see the lower catwalk.Only difference I see is the 3rd step(2nd angle iron) on the rear fender is gone and it looks like a pc of expanded metal..Could be a hundred reasons for this..
Should look at pics of the other side..
I have never noticed the curved rear fenders before

Just added graphics Ian. Was a photo touch up to cover up the Hayes script on the hood panel. Was a WCB thing to not advertise any manufacture. Most places these were posted didn't know what kind of truck it was or care for that matter. Only posted for a while then changed for a new poster depicting something else to do with safety

Jim Backlund , BCFP Renfrew Div. I saved the best for last . Alex Stark on Cat #22 . If Alex wasn't the best Cat Skinner around , he ran an awful close 2nd . Most of the Cat Swamper's that broke in running Cat at Renfrew Div. spent time with Alex . Cool Calm and easy on equipment , made every move count , got a lot done with very little effort . Always had ascan1126.jpg scan1127.jpg way to solve a problem , got something hanging down from a high bank he couldn't reach , he'd get a log long enough to reach it , choke it with the Cat Line suck it up to the Arch & use it as a Jill Poke .

BCFP Renfrew Div. Ernie Harrison Ernie paid his due's on the "Rigging" then went Pad Man on the Grade Dept. where he worked with the Old Master Grade Shovel Operator Nick Kerluk . He broke in on Northwest Grade and Pit Shovels around the time "Cats" were replacing Shovels building grade . He was asked to take a shot at running a Northwest Log Loader , which he did and excelled at . After a decade or so of loading in landing from Steel Towers . He took over a 7220 American Loader equipped with a Snorkel and the Cheery Picking of roads and new grade right of way . Finishing his working career on a Madill 075 Super Snorkel .

Ernie Harrison , BCFP Renfrew Div. Unloading and setting up an "Old Style Preload Trailer" , from a Grapple Operator's view point . Note the head lights on the #212 HDX Hayes . Also Note the "Lifting Hooks" hanging off side of Grapple and Cable loops in front of and behind bunk on trailer . These were required as some of the Loaders were still loading with Tongs . The lg Loader was most likely the #314 a Northwest Grade Shovel converted to a log loader , that didn't even have an elevated cab .scan29.jpg scan30.jpg scan31.jpg scan32.jpg

Interesting to see the addition to the top of the rad tank Al, Also with the trailer hanging in the air, The double boosters and cam shafts on each brake sure stand out. Really good picture's. Must have been pretty tight to get the second trailer in there.
