I've seen some of those broken booms in Hitchcock Scrap Yard's piles. Brand new tested to failure out at the proving grounds just outside of Peoria.

There is a youtube channel done by a welder I think in Texas. About 10% of his videos are of his repair of CAT excavator booms and associated parts. No idea why, perhaps they are weak, or really get over worked or are actually repairable, no clue. But the repairs are a sizeable portion of his videos. I doubt this is repairable.

I remember all the mini' KWs and Macks that were made years ago on pickup frames, kind of cute, acknowledged to be only a "show toy" not for any real purpose except to have fun.
To see something like this on the road or any of the other current abortions one sees, indicates there is a decidedly low testosterone level for many males. They seem to use excess money to buy things like this as testosterone replacement treatment. You can buy a lot of Viagra and drive a ratty old 1998 F250 or Chevy for all the money wasted on this.

There is a guy at the local logging outfit that drives a truck for them, he has one of those to drive to and from work. Except it has the cab, seat, and shifter like a Pete I think, or maybe it is a KW. I asked him, after driving a truck all day you want to drive one some more to go home? I guess he does.

Another logger likes to go 4 wheeling on Saturdays in his Jeep, I said to him, I guess you don't get enough bad roads going to your job site all week.
