Great pictures guys. I would love to catch a ride to Hawaii or Australia with that equipment.

Regarding the 14' wide lowboy from Contract logger. In order to move it down the road in B.C., it would have to have a 14' wide load on it. They won't permit the trailer empty, just loaded. More rules???

Welcome to the site Rick, are you affiliated with Cozad trailers? I have pulled both Murray and Cozad trailers...both great trailers!

Thats one badazz setup. What size machine is that? It looks like its a little small for that setup. Either way, thats a sweet ride

This is how we move a 45-ton machine. Yes, we are moving 10 miles over a Federal Highway. Just not much traffic and no Trooopers up here.

It isn't chained down. Rarely see them chained up here. Here's one on the freeway, its an EC700 Volvo. Only chained it cause we're on the ice here.
Weight of the backhoe is 155,000 lbs.

High deck, no ramps, so you improvise. Higher than most step-decks they run down south.

Here' one of the little highway trucks with a Volvo EC460BLC and with a Cat D9L. These highway trucks are OK for equipment under 110,000 lbs, but most of the equipment up here is alot heavier than that.

:iagree I wont even go down the street without chains! There is no way im takin a risk of dropping a machine. I have moved a few with the tracks sideways like that when the situation calls for it but everythings getting chained down.

The bigger trucks with triple frames, 18 x 4 speeds, and 3408's are definitely better for this work. There isnt a shortage of the little trucks here (28), they just arent durable enough for serious lowbed work, thats all.

Also I forgot to add, when side loading I always put wood blocks under the frame of the trailer where each track will be so the trailer doesnt see anymore stress than it needs to.
