There a land fill in Scanlon by the sappi wood lot. That is run by Bolander some how? They dont really have much up here for jobs. The big dog is Veit. They run it as VonCo. In the season they run 5ish roll off trucks?

Yes. When I retired 2.5 years ago they were also the only roll off company around that were willing to do the required paperwork, 5 copies to be distributed to the various agencies. showing that all the material possible is separated and recycled. On tax funded projects here we are required to separate everything and the paper trail is nuts. We typically recycled over 95%. That number is a bit skewed as it is all counted by weight. A few old gravel pits around take concrete and tree garbage and the like but if its regulated material they are about the only legal choice. They do a good job on demo though.

I had them as the demo and site/excavation sub on a few jobs. Like every other contractor it depended on whom they sent for their site supervisor that let hair grow or fall out of my head. They are pretty big. I met the owner once and he was talking to the excavator operator telling him to paint the scratched counterweight on the excavator. As he put it, "Our only advertising is the machines. They better look like new." And there stuff is always spit polished. Funny part was the operator had scraped the bank only an hour earlier. The mechanic carried a lot of paint on his truck.

Around here residential has it hacks too. It just doesn't seem as bad as commercial, numbers are smaller. Figure the percents , and I bet residential is just about the same

Don't know much about Kansas, here in north Cali they have it down to a science, at least the competent builders do!

It varies with residential, all depends on how the contractors interpret the homeowners needs, very rarely do you have a set of plans to bid off of, its all in how you think the job needs done, and that can change a lot between contractors.
