Depends what part of Alberta, southern Alberta doesn't have much of a winter if you're trying to freeze in roads, but they don't have the skegs like areas north of Edmonton. This year was a real b****, not much snow and 2 warm weeks in January. We didn't get in until second week of December and we were about 20 KM south of fort Mac.
