Need advice how to remove the retaining rings for the K1 clutch??

There's a slot in the drum near the thrust plate, you gotta wiggle the snap ring out , then grab it with pliers and twist it out.

Pics on how to remove the retaining rings. Im an old Allison tech. Volvo is new to me. Im waiting on repair manuals.

Questions:
Do all PT2519 take a lock pin at B4?
Are all the pressure plates the same? Or do some pressure plates have an ommitted tooth to pass the lockpin?
What is stopping the pressure plate from moving when B3 and B4 are engaged?
What is the purpose for the lockpin?
What is the procedure to check clutchpack clearances for B3 and B4?
Im in the Congo bush need info please.
