Volvo L70F hydraulic issues

Hi, we have a Volvo L70F loader and lately it has stalled occasionally when 2 hydraulic functions such as boom lift and bucket tilt are activated at the same time.
One operator mentioned it has also stalled when lifting the boom and turning the steering at the same time.
Another operator also mentioned last week that both levers individually (boom lift and bucket curl) both made the boom go up ?
The machine is working in a remote area and it only acts up very occasionally.

The only active code we could get on the display so far is PPID:1447-8 and the Source is IECU.
Not sure if that code has anything to do with it.
This seems like more of a hydraulic control problem ...... anybody have any other idea's on where to look ?

Thank you

For starters, please post cycle times. Bucket flat on the ground, full throttle, full stroke, raise boom. Time how long it takes, average 3x.
Does this machine have single lever joystick? Does it have 3rd function? Do you know how to get into service mode?

Hi, I should be able to provide that info in the next week or two.
The machine is working in a remote area about 7 hours from or shop and the cell service is extremely poor in that area.
I will be heading back there in the next couple weeks …… just wanted to have some info to help diagnose it before I get there.

Do you know how to access service mode? Do you have gauges? You're looking for a cycle time of 5.5 to 6 seconds. I'd like to see what your pressures are while turning against the steering lock, while curling back over relief if you have boom suspension, please shut it off while testing.

Excellent info.
Access the service mode by turning key on (engine off) and press the wrench button for a few seconds.
I do have gauges …… it will be a several days before I can get the pressures.

That's fine. There's 3 sometimes 4 cartridge valves in the 60,70, 90 series loader main control valve. 1⅛ hex plug, should be 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. They're called out as sequence valves. I suspect the o-rings are destroyed on most or all of them. They get damaged from guys forcing the boom down with the bucket curled all the way back. The problem is, you can't get the o-rings separately from Volvo. You have to replace the entire cartridge. If you can afford it, I would take at least 2 with you if your dealer has them in stock.
As a rule, I always serviced all of them together because I didn't want to chase the other one days later
