Volvo a40d hydraulic break pressure issue.

Hey guys. I have an issue where when you step on the service brake both truck and trailer hydraulic pressure goes below 2500psi and kicks the park brake. Wondering if anybody else has had this problem. Right know im leaning towards hydraulic brake pump. Curious if anybody knows what else to check on this before we dive into the pump. Thx

Just an update. We switched the brake pump and got good pressure now. Only thing is we have too much pressure. Both brake gauges climb into the red. Would anybody know where to adjust brake pressure on these trucks. Thx

Appreciate the info. We adjusted the valve behind the cab and got pressures where we needed them. Thx.

Have you tested your accumulators? Flat accumulators will make short work of a good pump, it'll also cause cooling issues.
