I posted some pics. in various forums. There was too much to take pics. of everything but hope you enjoy heat I did take. If you ever wondered what replaced the telephone operator directing your calls this is it.

My father worked for MA Bell for 37 years and have been through many switching rooms as he was an Equipment Installer and installed and fixed them.
He was also woken up in the middle of the night to trace some calls for the police.
All I can say about them was you would go deaf if you stayed there for an hour, loud as all get out.

All the old stuff was more reliable than what we have now. I know someone who's phone has been out for months now, yeah land line, and he's not the only one.
