I’m starting a new project with neighborhoods that will require a lot of pot holeing.(water, gas, sewer, Verizon, cox, etc.
I’ve always done this with laborers and shovels in the past. I know the vac trailer will be safer and less damages than dudes with shovels and picks.
I guess my question is speed of vacuum trailer vs person digging? Looking at 500 or 800 gallon trailer units. Plan was to dump mud at utility company equipment yard, let it dry then fill potholes back in with old spoils that have dried.
Dump location is 15mins from neighborhoods I’ll be working in.
What has been your experience with Ditchwitch or Vermeer vacuum trailers? Worth the money?
Looking at used trailers roughly $30-50k.
