Hello. CAT939C has a broken/ snapped adjustor yoke.
The adjustor spring housing has moved about 1/4 inch . Any ideas on how to get it back in position without the spring breaking loose?
Thanks.

Let off the track tension first. If the yoke that connects to the piston is broke but the spring housing is fine, there's not too much to worry about. Probably have to split the track to get it apart so it can be repaired. If the spring housing is broke or the bolts are broke, then you need to be real careful. A pic. would help.

Thanks Welder Dave & Bls Repair Appreciate the response. job done. replaced yoke & seals . Crowbarred spring assembly to centre. lots of broken bolts was fun. Tightened tracks . after 4 hours tracks loosened off again. Tightened again & will monitor.

I too am curious, need pics. There are no 'Adjuster Springs' just the recoil spring assembly at the rear of the rail adjuster shaft and piston assembly. If that is coming loose you need to be getting away from it as It may decide to come out when least expect. These are caged for installation and reside in a set of mounts that if are bending or have broken the mounting bolts is dangerous as hell.
