Steering Fluid in 79 GMC General

Shepard said 15W-40. Ross said ATF. I have seen both work on most anything. Some GMC's back then used a Saginaw and possibly another brand. Those spected power steering fluid. Any other product will take the seals out of them.

Power steering fluid if a GM pump/gear, as noted Ross boxes specified ATF OR P/S Fluid oils.
