It infuriates me when I read these articles the media go to Helen Kelly for a comment like she is an expert in forestry related safety issues. In one breath she states nothing has been done as far as regulation is concerned so the industry is still unsafe. Next she acknowledges the accident rate has halved this year because the union is putting us under the pump. You can't have it both ways Helen, do you think we are stupid? Some of us are trying to make carriers in this industry you are destroying

I can foresee the possibility of small blocks on trees in NZ being left for may be long periods of time or not harvested at all if the blocks are uneconomic to harvest when the wood price is low or too costly to transport the big machinery to do a small block of trees.
