Great pics CD, like always. Looks like you are getting some snow out there. The snow stayed south of us yesterday, they got 5-6" I guess. Were you working for the builder or the city? Do you have to get permits to dig up the main road?

Great shots C D looks like the snow has moced down the mountian since I was there. Is that the job on the highway, you had talked about? Hope the job goes well for you as that was a busy road, and has to take for ever getting materials out and back into the area.

morning guys. yes there are special permits required and bonding requires when working on a project in the state highway. the politics and governmant b.s makes it close to impossible some times. you cannot leave anything open over night. so , for example we started this job at 8 am...city requirement. so then it is asphalt cut, load out.. blacktop and material. then backhaul class six 3/4" base. then we set the storm sewer manhole. 15" r.c.p. and get it all grouted in. then we are subject to the discretion of a city inspecter that may or may not be happy and said given day of work being performed . for example we cut the old pipe out and took a joint apart. then set the manhole and put the joint back together.it is basically push together pipe. then the new r.c.p has a different bell. so therre was discussion about that, we moved on, grout everything with non shrink. then the flow fill shows up and it comes as dry as possible with heat to get a fast setup. there was also discussion about the flow fill taking 24 hours to set
it will be ready fisrst thing this morning.:tong. the flow fill gets poured 18" below bottom of blacktop. we used about 8 yards in this job . then it is clean up. reset the jersery wall and street plates. go get the t8 and trailer and demob. i had the 307 on this one plus a 435 and a s250. and my mini mini. and now we will go in use class 6 in 6-8' lifts and get it ready for the patch beacuse today is the last day for hot rock. all subject to about 20 people micro managing.

here are the fotos from the today. we had to have the soils engineer come out and sign off on the flow fill. then 6" lifts. we were having trouble getting an asphalt crew lined up as the company we planned on using was too busy. we found a crew and knocked it out. then it was clean up and sweeping. we ran all the jersery wall across town with the skiddie and moved our stuff out. all in all a pretty good two days.

yes sir. that is indeed st mary's church. i tried to get that in a shot for landmark value. the building we are working on used to be where the movie theater was. since been demoed and this monster is going in.

we are across the street from the courthouse. on the upvalley side of main just before original curve. going upvalley through town towards indy pass.
