Skyjack Vr843d lift help needed?

Thanks in advance, New to me Skyjack VR843D starts runs and operates as it should except it just started not throttling up .Starts easy ,idols smooth, but absolutely no response to the throttle pedal.We have no local dealer and no diagnostic software. Thought is it could be the potentiometer at the throttle pedal. Skyjack supposedly only sells that as complete with pedal at over 1100 dollars.Dont want to start throwing that kind of money around for nothing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. 2900 hours ,clean strait ,nice machine ,shows no abuse.
