Try over at the diesel garage forum. There have been some gray haired gents over there that may still have books on it. But it has been a long time since I have seen it discussed.

Is this it ? http://www.truckmanuals.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=282

What is the difference from a form 6SE44 and a 6SE410 ? It seems the 6SE410 is widely available but not the 44.

Here is another one . But it is a 6SE410 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Detroit-Die...62&rk=2&rkt=5&sd=120989184034&#ht_2839wt_1358

Here is a link to an online 40E service manual. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Detroit-Die...62&rk=2&rkt=5&sd=120989184034&#ht_2839wt_1358

And another, but it is a 6SE410. http://www.cdavto.com/index.html?q=10&gc=3169&sha=0

tinkerer , the 6SE410 form covers the electronic version which is readly available anywhere also the parts suppliers can get parts for the electronic version but thanks for trying to help . I already have the E book along with the perkins 1300 book
my engine is only 150 / 160 HP and a 1998 build ,( non electronic ) but from what I can find the Electronic engine was being built from 1995 ??
there is 4 engine numbers on this engine , one each from the companies involved
perkins au said they couldn`t help , Navistar au(don`t deal directly with the public) sent me to caterpillar , which couldn`t help , international trucks Brisbane just laughed said we don`t do Navistar , go to Detroit brisbane which brings me to them . after working out it is one of there engines and some weeks later he finally got back to me with a ridiculous price for non genuine rebuild kit , so I have put in some hard yards in on this engine
I have even tried talking direct to usa but they send me back to the au dealers .
I am getting getting there with the parts but it is a slow process making sure they are right , it`s all got to do with the P/N`s
i need this book to set the timing of the fuel pump which is different to the perkins , there is no timing pin hole in my engine
so if anyone can help with this 6SE44 service book it will be of great help

on edit - dad5, the 530E is also an electronic engine and is also covered in the same book but thanks also
