This Roller once in awhile will bind up and stop as if the roller drum and rear wheels were going in different directions. After it sat a minute, it will start to move again. When it bound up one time it blew the hose to the drum drive motor. Any ideas.

Very likely an issue with one of the speed sensors. When the issue is active disconnect either the drum or axle speed sensor one at a time. Which ever one corrects the issue is OK and it is actually an issue with the other sensor. It could be a harness or an adjustment issue. If the sensor was bad it shouldn't correct itself.

So this is a Propac model. Does it have the optional hydraulic traction control? If so does it happen only with that engaged and does it happen only when propelling forward?
The only things that will cause the complaint you are describing is the traction control or a final drive issue. Make sure you check the drum motor and or final drive as well as the axle and its finals.
