The second 071 of the day

Found another 071 stowed away in Tillamook, Oregon today. It was a four yarder day, plus another spotted on a hilltop from about a mile away but couldn't tell what kind or whose it was? This one was serial # 70097

I was definitely down at Fallons last week and met Ken, very nice guy! I took pics of the 071 and the rolled T-Bird.
I will be back down there later this year, if not earlier. I will give you a shout next time I come down.

So its cold

Just to prove it does get a little cold down here. Im sure others have some more extreme cold machinery photos to show.

With the help of Roadswitcher and Tokel I have put together a 120 photo library but it is not quite complete. Im missing,

6
7
12
17
18
20
23
26
28
29

Any info on these machines would be great. I know 1 of these belongs to Mark McCarthy down here.

Cheers

Edit; does anyone know which machine was the Gould Sunrise machine? It must be either 6 or 7.

Yes, this is the ex Weyerhaeuser Vale 046 that CL was wondering about it's present location/condition - it might be the one featured in post 551. It has had a couple of owners down here and sadly the last one went into liquidation and left the machine in a rather forlorn state.

I hooked for them when "Whoopie" was still running it in 97. That was under their first 172. What a tranny eating POS that thing was!! If you got a tranny to last 3 months you were doing great!!!

JeremyM70; the first 071 you posted, does that have a turbochargered engine in it?

Not too sure, I looked thru all my higher resolution pics and couldn't tell? If you PM me with your email I can send you the full resolution pictures to see if you can tell.

I have pictures of one of the Weyco PeEll 120's. I did kind of a hit and run into the back side of the yard to take pics on a very rainy day last year so I didn't confirm S/N's. Check out page 25 of this thread. But according to my info they have 12016 and 12023

This company used to have a bunch of 046's, seem that they still have one for sale? Company had a web site, but it's shut down, anybody knows anything about this company?

Keith Turner turned 104 in early May this year. Haven't talked to him since last Oct. but did see him at Christmas across the dining room and he appears to be still going strong. Uses a cane now but not a walker and that may be just more for safty than actually needing it. Regards D.D.
