I have a book about him here somewhere read a while back. His business/marketing sense and interpersonal relationship skills were not that great. Edison was of course an excellent businessman. Any business enterprise needs to make money first in order to be there to do whatever it does for the customer. If the business does not make money then nobody gets anything and that is why some of his ideas fell by the wayside.
