Repair or replace cracked boom???

That looks like somebody with limited experience trying to save money instead of getting a professional to do it. Similar to the guy who did work for me welding his C frame on a JD 850J WLT. He welded it up and it cracked and he just welded it up again saying when he gets home he'll fix it right. Asked about preheat he says the grinding will preheat it. The steel can't be welded several times and not get fatigued just from that. Fix it right the 1st. time.
