Owner/Operator of a Backhoe possibly relocating to Texas from So-Cal. Any advice on moving to Texas, pros or cons? What is the work like out there and what is the current going rate?

Where Texas? Big place, wages vary. El Paso is a growing area but wages suck. Do you speak Spanish?

Parts of Texas are great, others not so much. You will have many population densities as well as desert to solid timber to deal with depending where you want to go. No state income tax but their property taxes are up there....

Go east till you smell it, then south till you step in it.
