Hello all,

Just getting used to my new to me CAT 335F.
SN
SGJ20513

One thing that really stands out is how much effort is required to move the pilot levers. It reminds me of my old 4-stick case backhoe years ago. They are substantially stiffer than any other excavator I have ever run.

Is there a kit or something to change the spring pressure or something?

No responses to this question.
However, the local CAT dealer got back to me and there is in fact a kit available to change out the pilot internal springs, to make the controls less rigid. According to them, it is a common request on this machine.

They quoted 27$ for the kit, and about 6 hrs to change them out.
