We have owned a 2000 John Deere 270 for 10 years, really nice combination of power (84 hp Deere 4045), weight & stability (longer wheelbase). The longer wheelbase is critical in our application as a lot of steep ground. Basic hand/foot machine, currently 7500 hours and still nice and ‘tight’.

Also had a Bobcat 773, really nice older machine with Kubota V2203. S185 would be nice bet as well.…

These are all older machines and it would take some careful searching to find one in good condition…

Our Deere 270 was used in a small log sorting yard so it never did any dirt work….
